Executive Director · Fruitful Healthcare SL
Abu Bakarr George Sillah serves as Executive Director of Fruitful Healthcare SL, leading its work to expand access to healthcare, education, and agricultural support in Sierra Leone. His focus is on practical programs that support rural families, create opportunities for young people, and strengthen the livelihoods of women and girls.
His leadership supports the provision of medicines and medical supplies to rural clinics, free computer training and internships, educational assistance, sewing skills training, and community seedling distribution. He works to connect community needs with partnerships and resources that help these programs move forward. His community partnerships include The People’s Foundation for Humanity Development (PeFOHD) and Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation in Port Loko.
Abu Bakarr brings international humanitarian experience, including managing emergency relief work with the Lutheran World Federation and coordinating refugee protection and support projects in Mauritania. This experience informs his commitment to dignity, community participation, and responsible leadership.
He holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Healthcare Management from Waldorf University and serves as a board member of the Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (SLANGO).

PeFOHD · Non-governmental organization
Founded by Dr. Lauretta Will Sillah, PeFOHD supports children, women, and young people through education, health, and self-reliance programs.
Its work includes practical training, women’s leadership development, entrepreneurship, and mentoring. A March 2026 empowerment workshop in Freetown brought women and girls together to build leadership and business skills and strengthen community connections.

Community-based, youth-led organization · Port Loko
Based in Port Loko, Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation supports community development through youth empowerment, cultural education, charitable initiatives, and recognition of public service.
Its education initiatives include a community bicycle lending program, documented by Bikes for the World in 2023, helping students who travel long distances to school. The foundation also organizes the Bai Bureh Service Delivery Awards to recognize contributions to community and national development.
Fruitful Healthcare SL provided the financial sponsorship and all equipment for the projects documented in the foundation’s December 2023 development report, with Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation serving as the local implementing partner.

Funding and equipment helped turn community priorities into projects. This support underpinned the activities documented in the report, while our local partner organized implementation in the communities it serves.
The presentation covers post-secondary internships, educational assistance, bicycles for students, school outreach about harmful drugs, safe drinking water, groundnut production, a rice loan scheme for farmers, and cultural education.
